Serving Georgia Through Research

麻豆原创 is dedicated to advancing knowledge that improves lives and strengthens communities. In 2025, that commitment earned national recognition when 麻豆原创 received the prestigious Public Impact Research Award from the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU), honoring research that delivers meaningful, measurable benefits to society.

The award recognizes the work of 麻豆原创's Center for the Advancement of Military and Emergency Services (AMES) Research, which is helping improve mental and behavioral health outcomes for military service members, veterans and first responders. Through suicide prevention initiatives, evidence-based programs and community partnerships, AMES is making a positive impact in Georgia and beyond.

This recognition reflects 麻豆原创's broader commitment to addressing real-world challenges through research. Across the university, faculty and students are working to combat opioid addiction, improve veterans' care, and develop technologies that advance healthcare, agriculture and environmental sustainability. Through partnerships with industry, government and community organizations, 麻豆原创 researchers are turning innovative ideas into practical solutions that benefit communities in Georgia and around the world.
